Getting involved

We all lead busy lives. Getting involved is not meant to be an
onerous task! This is what you can do:

- Sign up for updates
We write posts when we feel that we have something directly relevant
to say to the residents of Foresthall Park. We do not want to fill up
your inboxes so you can probably expect no more that one or two posts
a week. The success of our group depends on it being representative
of the residents. If we act with one voice then we are more likely to
be listened to by the local and district councils. The website is a
useful forum where members can post comments and voice concerns. Down
the line, if we get a good number of followers, it could potentially
help us become self financing as we may be able to raise enough
revenue through advertising/sponsorship.

- Participate in meetings/events
We plan on holding general meetings twice a year with Committee
members elected each year. We will publicise these meetings in
advance and these will be perfect occasions to meet some of your
neighbours. We also invite local parish and district councillors to
these meetings so these are good opportunities to have your say and
raise concerns with the local decision makers. We also plan on
organising some events. Last year we organised a litter pick and
we’ll do so again this year. We also hope to start organising some
more social events in the near future.
